Fraxel Dual 1550/1927 lasers provide effective resurfacing treatments, which target both the surface and deeper layers of skin to provide a smoother, more youthful appearance. The Fraxel Laser has the advantage of having two treatment modes. The 1550 wavelength penetrates deep into the skin, targeting wrinkles and acne scaring. The 1927 wavelength helps the skin surface, improving its tone, texture, and the superficial signs of aging. The treatment will be tailored to the patient’s specific desired outcome and can be combined so that a patient receives the benefits of both superficial and deep laser treatments.

Generally, patients require multiple treatments to obtain optimum results. The specific number of treatments is determined by the patient’s desired goal. Patients will usually experience some redness and swelling after a Fraxel laser treatment, which may last several days. Skin will usually exfoliate, as it would after a sunburn.
